The Great Tarmac Rally is widely regarded as a premier event in tarmac rallying, with competitors eagerly embracing the challenge of its 260 competitive kilometers—renowned as some of the most demanding in the sport.

This year, the rally begins with an exciting route that takes participants through Buxton and Taggerty, leading to the ever-popular Eildon-Jamieson Road. Covering over 110 competitive kilometers across six stages, it promises a thrilling start to the event.

On Sunday, crews will set off from Marysville, home to Peppers Marysville, before navigating the picturesque landscapes of Cambarville and Cumberland Junction. This route culminates in the celebrated Reefton Spur stage, a 37-kilometer stretch with a remarkable 95% corner ratio. Offering stunning views of The Upper Yarra Catchment Basin and winding through verdant alpine forests, this stage is a favorite among rally enthusiasts.

With an impressive 72% of the rally consisting of competitive stages and just 98 kilometers designated for touring, this event continues to push the boundaries of tarmac rallying.
